Barmeri Embroidered Purse – design 12

Wonderfully colourful purse that could be used to carry your phone and cards when you need to travel light or for cosmetics. This purse is made from vintage fabric by the Barmeri people of Gujurat, famous for their embroidery techniques. This piece is made using a darning stitch to form geometric patterns using different colour wools. Top zip fastener with suede band. Cotton inside lining. Width 20 cm (8 ins) and height 12 cm (5 ins).
