Embroidered Cushion Cover – 30cm x 30cm – Ochre and Red embroidery on Black silk

Tadi is a circular type embroidery using single filament silk. The tiny mirrors are held in place by intricate stitchwork. These pieces are made by Sindhi Memen women who migrated from Pakistan to Kutch many years ago. Coloured embroidery onto a black slub silk backing. This product is bought directly from a craftswomen’s cooperative in rural Gujurat (Qasab).
