Pelmet Wall hanging – Embroidered wall hanging with Elephants, Flowers and Mirrorwork

A beautiful addition for a child’s room or elsewhere in the house or could also be used in a tent or marquee – a colourful exotic decoration for weddings and parties. Colourful silk embroidery depicting elephants and flowers. This piece is embroidered with fine close herringbone stitch throughout and Shisha mirror work in the centre of the flowers and elsewhere. (Shisha work traditionally is thought to ward off the evil eye). 27 pennants in different fabrics. 14 cm wide x 28 cm (5.5 inches x 11 inches). Very good condition – due to age some discolouration. 9 hanging loops.
