Pelmet Wall hanging – Embroidered wall hanging with Flowers and Mirrorwork

A beautiful addition for a child’s room or elsewhere in the house or could also be used in a tent or marquee – a colourful exotic decoration for weddings and parties. Colourful embroidery depicting flowers and leaves. This jolly piece is neatly embroidered with fine close herringbone stitch throughout and Shisha mirror work in the centre of the flowers (Shisha work traditionally is thought to ward off the evil eye). 37 brightly coloured cotton pennants edged with lurex brocade. (Pennants represent mango leaves for good luck). Good condition – slight discolouration in places. 11 cm wide x 28 cm (4.3 inches x 11 inches). 11 hanging loops in red.
