Fine Vintage Chakla in Flower and Leaf design on Purple Silk

A finely hand embroidered vintage Chalka with an intricate traditional butti flower and leaf design, bordered in silk and brocade. It has been delicately embroidered, in silk, on deep purple silk background. This piece has a small button in one corner, which would have been used with the corner loops (two are missing) to create an envelope bag for storing small items. It is backed with brown cotton. In a few places the embroidery has worn with age, but an imprint of the pattern remains. Kutch 1920s.
