Vintage Chakla (wall hanging) with Shisha mirrorwork

A beautiful chakla (wall hanging) embroidered using richly coloured silks in squares using darning stitch, close herringbone stitch and shisha mirror work. The piece features a border of multi coloured embroidered triangles and is edged with a purple trim and two fabric tassels with two hanging loops. This piece would look wonderful in any room in the house as a wall hanging. Embroidered by the Kutchi Rabari community from  North-East Kutch, Gujurat. Circa 1970s.
