Large Vintage Sankhtoran In Chequered Pattern On Cotton

This would look amazing around or above a fire place or surrounding a doorway. A large vintage Sankhtoran (doorway hanging) distinctively hand embroidered using silk, in chequered and geometric patterns with Shisha mirrorwork, on a double layer of off white cotton. The colours are particularly striking, with rich burgundy, orange and green, contrasting with deep blue-black, and a coordinating burgundy cotton edge. It is in very good condition.
